Antenatal Ireland are the Cuidiú-registered antenatal teachers throughout Ireland who work through Cuidiú - Irish Childbirth Trust

Cuidiú antenatal teachers are:

• The only antenatal teachers in Ireland who are university trained specifically in antenatal education.
• Licenced to practise by NCT – National Childbirth Trust (UK) and Cuidiú.  
• Regularly reviewed and undergo continuous education to maintain their licences to practice and for quality assurance.  
• Facilitators of presentations and lectures on antenatal education to health professionals and midwifery students       
  

                  There are antenatal courses and there are Cuidiú antenatal courses!

Cuidiú antenatal courses follow a format that is unique in antenatal education in Ireland: 

• Small groups sizes allow time for questions and to get to know others.  
• Evidence-based information imparted in an empowering, interactive and practical way.  
• All birth options are discussed so that you can work out how you'd like to approach labour, rather than telling you the 'right' way.

Becoming a parent is one of life's most exciting journeys and Antenatal Ireland is there to accompany you from the very beginning.  Our Cuidiú antenatal teachers provide a range of courses in a variety of group and individual formats.

Antenatal Course costs include membership of Cuidiú and a class reunion, and may be reclaimable from your health care provider.  Some areas include a labour ward visit. Check with your local teacher.

As a member of Cuidiú, you'll have access to all the postnatal services and activities running in your local area - from breastfeeding counsellors, baby mornings, toddler groups and much more!

RATES OF Caesarean and episiotomy can vary by up to 20 per cent in Irish hospitals, depending on where a mother gives birth, a new survey has found. The figures were released yesterday by Cuidiú, the Irish Childbirth Trust, at the launch of bump2babe.ie, an online consumer guide to maternity services in Ireland.
